Getting to Gruyères by car

Getting to Gruyères is very easy, as the town is very close to the Bulle exit (exit 4) of the A12 highway, which connects Lake Geneva (near Vevey and Montreux) with Bern and Zurich.

A bypass road makes it possible to get around Bulle quickly and easily instead of driving through the city. Cars are not allowed in the old town, but there are parking lots at the bottom of the hill. You have to pay for parking.

Travel to Gruyères by train

From Zurich main station
To Fribourg, change to Bulle, where you take the Regio-Express in the direction of Montbovon and Gruyères.

From Geneva
To Montreux, change to the hourly train to Montbovon. From there, take the Regio-Express for a short ride to Gruyères.
