Dear HR Giger, dear friends,

Today is HR Giger’s birthday, and we want to congratulate him by dedicating this site to him, to our dear friend and so wonderful man; and to his amazing art and his beloved museum



It was always Giger’s wish to have a virtual tour through the museum, and since we were all fond of the idea, the thought to make a museum site out of it was not far off. The museum tour is still the core of it all. Since the site is being generated directly at Giger’s home and his museum, we would like to keep you informed about all the new projects, exhibitions and other events and activities. #@# In the future, more and more short films and animations will be integrated here, and HRG will contribute to it not only by continuing to help us with the design, but also by writing every month or so an anecdote out of his life and add some drawings to it. You can find them, starting in March, under “NEWS”.

As you will see, the homepage is still ‘a work in progress’, not only content-, but also language-wise. The TOUR for instance is now in English and German only, but French and Spanish will be ready soon.

At the end of HOME you’ll find our first Video Clip called “Sex, Drugs, and Giger”. It was created by Sandra Beretta, a close friend of Giger’s, in 1991. And many more clips are in preparation.

You will find a computer ‘game’ that Albert America created out of Giger’s “Baphomet #@# TAROT” and made it a present to him. Unfortunately the texts here are in German only.

And last but not least, you can have a look into our MUSEUM SHOP: We offer specialties and rarities coming out of Giger’s home and museum. But here again, it’s not complete yet. Some of the articles can be signed by the artist.

The TOUR: Please don’t forget to read the text that appears before you start the virtual tour. It’s easy to move through the museum, and yet you might miss some opportunities of how to move in there.
